Media Day Guidelines

PREPARATION:

Every athlete must have their poses predetermined before the shoot.  If an athlete is deliberating about a pose, we will tell them how to pose based on our default poses.  Our default poses are: dribbling in place, standing with a basketball on the hip, and sitting on a stool with the ball.

You can view a variety of poses here:

Poses will be selected at checkout with the built-in form. If you select more poses or different poses than what are covered in the package you ordered, we may substitute or omit poses as we see fit on media day without consulting you. We will try to give you an equal value of the package you ordered to what we capture, keeping your requested poses in consideration.

For example: The “MVP” Package comes with 3 Basic poses only. If you select anything more than 3 basic poses (specialty poses or additional basic poses), without paying for it as an add on, we may capture 1 basic pose and 1 specialty pose, or only 2 specialty poses, or choose a total of 3 basic poses. This logic will be applied to all packages in a similar fashion.

MEDIA DAY:

  • Athletes must show up wearing their uniform and be ready to be photographed.

  • If multiple uniforms will be worn, the athlete must change immediately after getting their photo taken, then get back at the end of the line in the same order that they were in originally.

RECEIVING MEDIA:

  • After we optimize the photos to look the best they can, we will upload them to an online gallery.

  • You will be emailed a link where you can download the highest quality version of the photos. You can also order prints through our gallery.

  • You will receive an email to the address you provided on the form at checkout.

  • Everyone will receive the team group photos also, usually uploaded at a later date.

  • If you booked a package with a trading card and/or poster, we will create that for you based on images that we captured on the white backdrop. Ordering prints through our gallery is for additional prints, or for those who haven't prepaid in for any printed materials.

PERMISSIONS:

  • Parents, coaches, or other onlookers may capture their own amateur photos and/or videos with their smartphone during our media day.  They may capture the athletes, our team at Perceived Media, and whatever else catches their interest.  However, we must be tagged in any content posted on social media:@VeroBeachPortraits

  • After clients receive their photos, they may post them anywhere or get them printed on their own, even though they can order prints through our gallery.

  • Clients may use their photos for any means necessary including personal, and commercial use.  This includes, but is not limited to: athlete’s personal social media, athlete’s personal website, a separate entity’s social media, digital or printed magazines, and/or other commercial use.
